A bench warrant has been issued for free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens in California in regard to a missed court appearance over child support payments. Owens was a no-show at an Oct. 24 court hearing, leading to the bench warrant for his arrest. His publicist, Diana Bianchini, explains that Owens could not make the court date because of his scheduled open workout that was designed to secure "a contract and income." Complicating matters was Owens not having a lawyer in place at the time. Bianchini downplayed the warrant, saying the matter "will be resolved immediately."
