Bears running back Matt Forte admitted Monday his contract situation with the team has been a distraction and the two sides are way off in their talks. "It's always going to be a distraction because I'm not a robot; I'm human," Forte said. "I try to put it out of my mind sometimes. I go out every day on the practice or game field I'm focused on playing football, I'm not worried about that. But it is a distraction sometimes and you can't help but think about it a lot." Forte is in the final year of his contract and enjoyed one of the most productive games of his career on Sunday. "Currently we haven't really been talking," Forte said. "After some of the games my agent has called them a few times but no progress has really been made since then. But hopefully today or this week they will be talking again." Forte rushed for a career-high 205 yards in a 34-29 victory over the Panthers on Sunday.
