The Steelers and Troy Polamalu have been negotiating over the past several days in an effort to agree on a contract extension before the season kicks off. Polamalu is entering the final season of his contract. Recently, it was reported that Pittsburgh was against handing out any more extensions about they gave Lawrence Timmons a big, new deal.
