Javarris James, a University of Miami (Fla.) running back nicknamed "Baby J'' by his cousin Edgerrin James, was one of several collegiate free agents who agreed to contract terms with the Colts following the NFL draft. The Colts selected Edgerrin James with the fourth overall pick in the 1999 draft. He became their career rushing leader with 9,226 yards during seven years with the team. The 6-0, 208-pound Javarris James appeared in 46 games at Miami, rushing for 2,162 yards and 18 touchdowns.
