With two games left in the season, linebacker Adalius Thomas could soon be done in New England. "That's a conversation you have after the season," Thomas said. "I don't think this is an appropriate time to talk about it. It makes you seem selfish. It is what it is. You're trying to win the division." Thomas is set to make $4.9 million in 2010, and cutting him would save the Patriots $3.9 million overall when you factor in his signing bonus. "It really doesn't matter," said Thomas, when asked what he's expecting. "You can't control it. That's one thing about the nature of the business: nothing is a surprise. Nothing. You think you know, but you really don't know."
