Vikings running back Adrian Peterson knows that he has to stop fumbling the football.
"If I continue to fumble the ball, especially now in this stretch, I'm sure I'll be sitting on the sideline and that's something I definitely don't want to do," Peterson said Thursday. "So [I'll] take care of the ball."
Peterson has six fumbles (five lost) this season.
Vikings coach Brad Childress called Peterson "a trustworthy guy," with the ball on Thursday, adding, "[if] you touch it as many times as he does, somewhere it's going on the ground."
