More than a week after reaching a tentative agreement with the Giants, Eli Manning has finally signed his $97.5 million contract extension. Manning is guaranteed $35 million under terms of the $97.5 million extension. "It's good to get it out of the way and not have to worry about anything else," Manning said Friday, according to the Associated Press. "Now it's time to get ready for the season." He added that being one of the NFL's highest-paid players isn't going to place undue pressure on him. "My job is to play quarterback for the New York Giants and try to win games," Manning said. "Nothing has changed. My responsibilities have not changed. I am trying to go out there, do my part, play well and lead this team."
