The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed defensive end Renaldo Wynn. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wynn, a 12-year veteran, previously spent five seasons with the Redskins from 2002-06. He played in 79 games, with 63 starts during his first stint with the club. Over that span, Wynn racked up 133 tackles, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was also named the team?s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2006. Since his last campaign in Washington, Wynn has played with New Orleans (2007) and the New York Giants (2008). He played in all 16 games and one postseason contest for the Giants, registering 24 tackles, including five for loss, and two sacks. For his career, the 6-foot-3, 296-pound Wynn has played in 180 regular season games, with 128 starts, and recorded 294 tackles, 27 sacks, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. Wynn began his career in Jacksonville, where he spent five seasons after the Jaguars chose him in the first round (21st overall) out of Notre Dame in the 1997 NFL Draft.
