Plaxico Burress was due $1 million Wednesday. According to the NFL Players' Association, he didn't see a penny of it. Burress was scheduled to receive that money as a deferred payment that was part of the $4.25-million signing bonus on his new contract from September. But that was before he shot a hole in his thigh and was suspended by the team. "The Giants have decided to forego payment of his signing bonus," NFLPA spokesman Carl Francis said in an e-mail sent minutes ago. "Therefore, we will file a claim in the appropriate forum to enforce his rights to receive and keep the monies entitled to him under his player contract."
