Mike McDaniel called the second-fewest rushing attempts in the NFL last season in his first year as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

He did so despite Tua Tagovailoa's injury woes, likely because of the team's elite receiving duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

However, McDaniel is committed to running the ball more in 2023.

"I had a talk with him during exit interviews at the end of the season," running back Raheem Mostert said. "One thing he was very apologetic about was we didn't run enough, and he was going to do his best to change that in coming years. Talk like that gets me fired up even more."

Mostert led Miami with 181 rushing attempts for 891 yards with three touchdowns.
