When they cut their active roster down to 53 players on Tuesday, the Houston Texans included Deshaun Watson.

The quarterback is still not expected to play for the Texans this season. According to a source, the team is prepared to keep Watson on their roster for the rest of the season.

Watson currently faces 22 active civil lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior, but has not been restricted from taking part in team activities by the NFL. The quarterback also requested a trade in January.
