Colts Want To Name Starting QB By Third Preseason Game

Frank Reich says he wants to name the Week 1 starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts by the team's third preseason game.

Andrew Luck has been sidelined by a calf/ankle issue, which could prevent him from being ready for the start of the season.

The Colts will play their third preseason game on Aug. 24.

"You have to be able to make a call and move from there," Reich said, "whether we're full speed with Andrew after that third preseason game or if at that point we are going with Jacoby (Brissett)."

Luck is not expected to play in the preseason.
