Robert Griffin III is now expected to miss 10-12 weeks due to his shoulder injury.
The Browns placed Griffin on injured reserve Monday after he suffered a fractured bone in his left shoulder in Cleveland's season-opening loss at Philadelphia.
Hue Jackson said earlier this week that the team hopes Griffin can avoid surgery.
Josh McCown will start at quarterback Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
