Odell Beckham: Josh Norman 'Relevant Because Of Me'

Jul 21, 2016 7:31 AM

Odell Beckham, Jr. is doing nothing to fan the flames on his rivalry with Josh Norman.

Norman, who battled with Beckham as a member of the Carolina Panthers last season, signed with the Washington Redskins this offseason.

"The reason he's become so relevant is because of me," Beckham told GQ.

The Giants wide receiver told GQ that "for sure" Norman is in Washington because of him and called it a "smart business move for him."

Kirk Cousins To Play 2016 Under Franchise Tag

Jul 15, 2016 4:15 PM

Kirk Cousins will play under the one-year franchise tag after he was unable to agree upon a deal with Washington.

Cousins, who will receive a guaranteed $19.95 million, becomes the second quarterback to play under the franchise tag. Drew Brees played under the tag in 2005 with the San Diego Chargers.

Brees signed with the New Orleans Saints in the following season with San Diego turning to Philip Rivers, a move that has worked out well for both parties.

In the other seven times in which a team used the franchise tag on a quarterback, the sides agreed to a deal by the deadline.

Chris Cooley: 'Washington Are Winning 11 Games Next Year'

Aug 18, 2016 10:30 AM

Chris Cooley, former Washington tight end, believes the team is going to take a big jump forward in 2016.

"(Washington is) winning 11 games next year," Cooley said on ESPN 980. "(Washington is) a building team that when you look around at the eyes of the people in the building, you're told we're damn good. We're really good. (Washinton is) winning 11 games next year. ...

"The team is so the Seattle Seahawks of 2012, with a little bit more experience at quarterback and maybe a little less talent on defense," Cooley later said. "They're winning 11 games, I'll tell you that, and I'll give you this as a bold prediction: 12 won't surprise me. I'm going to say it right now, June 30, before anyone else gets into this, before anyone else jumps on this bandwagon: they're winning 11 games. They're winning the division."

Oddsmakers would put Washington's win-total over/under at something like 7.5.
