Kardashian Had Her Eye On Robert Griffin

Sep 25, 2014 2:21 AM

Kim Kardashian had an on-again, off-again relationship with Reggie Bush and has also been linked to Miles Austin, but recently a new football player caught her eye. She had her eye on Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III. Jack Burditt, executive producer of NBC's 30 Rock, said on NFL Network's The Rich Eisen Podcaston that Kardashian was asking for the down low on RGIII when both attended a live 30 Rock taping on the night Griffin was drafted in April. "Her inner alarm was going off," said Burditt. Griffin is engaged to be married.

Favre Would Have Taken Griffin First Overall

Sep 25, 2014 2:23 AM

The Colts drafted Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in April, but Brett Favre would have gone a different route. "[Robert] Griffin, he's smaller, but if I was starting a team, I'd probably of went with RG3 just because, if they can't protect you, you got to protect yourself," Favre told Deion Sanders who he'd take if he was starting a team.

Portis Comes Out In Defense Of Dan Snyder

Sep 3, 2014 12:42 AM

In a recent interview, former Redskins running back Clinton Portis came out in defense of owner Dan Snyder, who has become a lightning rod for his stewardship of a sagging franchise. "I think so many people got the wrong idea about Mr. Snyder," Portis said. "I think he's a guy that is so dedicated to that Redskins organization and wants to badly to bring a championship to town and get the town what they want, and give Redskin Nation what they want, that a lot of people get aggravated with the change. "I think he's willing to go out and do anything and everything that needs to be done to make that organization better. And so many people criticize that. There's a lot of owners that won't go out and put a dime into the organization, won't bring players in, won't pay players ... and their fans are upset. "So I think Mr. Snyder does all that he can and is really just a man that has the desire to win and he wants to win at any cost. I think he's doing everything he could to make the organization better, and the people within the organization - as far as the players - love him. I think he's a great guy. ... He's still trying to find the pieces to the puzzle to get it on the positive side, and you have to applaud it."

Scout: Luck, Griffin Won't Match Newton's Records

Oct 31, 2014 4:49 AM

Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin will take the reigns of their respective teams immediately, but one NFL scout doesn't expect them to put up the gaudy stats that Cam Newton did in the same situation. "I expect Griffin to put up better numbers in 2012 but that doesn't mean that he will be the better player," Greg Gabriel writes. "Don't expect either player to have the kind of stats that Cam Newton had last year. I would expect numbers more similar to what Andy Dalton had in Cincinnati."

Cooley: Griffin Can't Do It Alone For Redskins

Oct 31, 2014 7:06 AM

Chris Cooley is warning the public that rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III can't cure what ails the Redskins all by himself. "The biggest thing as far as the line and skill positions is to be right," Cooley told The Washington Post. "There are specific rules in our offense, and there are specific ways plays are run, and we've been unsuccessful over the last couple years because you can look back at plays and you can say, 'This is great except for one or two guys.' We can't be wrong." Cooley has played with seven different starting quarterbacks in Washington.

Griffin Becomes More Comfortable In Offense

Dec 3, 2014 4:27 PM

The Redskins concluded their third round of offseason practices on Thursday. Robert Griffin III showed off his versatility and game management skills, as well as his increasing comfort in the team's offensive system. A week after he appeared to struggle somewhat in the lone practice that was open to the media, Griffin appeared more at ease. "As far as the offense, and as far as knowing what I'm doing, I think I had that 'ah, ha' moment yesterday," Griffin said. "The defense was getting after us a little bit, and we came to that last session of the day, and we just tore them up. ... It felt good to know that as long as you know where you're going with the ball, and as long as you're aggressive and confident in what you're doing, you can complete any pass, and I think I had that yesterday."

Hall Hopes To Assume Charles Woodson-Like Role In 2012

Oct 31, 2014 7:30 AM

DeAngelo Hall says he expects to take on a role similar to that of Green Bay’s Charles Woodson, who lines up all over the field depending on matchups, and covers receivers in the slot, on the outside and occasionally makes plays as a safety. “You don’t ever see [Woodson] running down the field not looking for the ball,” Hall said. “He’s always underneath, blitzing, having some type of zone coverage underneath so he can see the ball, using instinctive football ability under there, and that’s kind of what we’re doing.” Hall later added, “[Woodson] got defensive player of the year [covering the slot receivers], so hopefully I can get some of that same kind of buzz and excitement out there, making plays. I’m definitely relishing the opportunity to get in there. It’s hard, it’s different. But I’m down. It’s a lot more space. You definitely have to hone in on your technique and what’s asked of you in that moment, as opposed to just being a free spirit and only checking your guy. It definitely is a little bit different, but it’s part of the evolution.”
