Griffin III Will Wear No. 10

Nov 24, 2014 12:57 PM

Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III will wear No. 10 with the team. Washington wide receiver Jabar Gaffney wore the number last season. The Redskins gave Griffin the number -- which he wore at Baylor -- without him requesting to have it, according to the team. If Gaffney is on Washington's roster next season, he'll wear a different number, but his future is uncertain.

Redskins Told RG3 They Would Have Taken Him First Overall

Oct 31, 2014 5:16 AM

Robert Griffin III said Thursday night that the Redskins told him they would have taken him over Andrew Luck if they had the first overall pick. Luck was taken No. 1 by the Colts, while Washington gladly grabbed Griffin at No. 2. "They said if Indianapolis would have traded with them and kept Peyton Manning, that they would have drafted me with the No. 1 overall pick," Griffin said. "So it's not a shot at anybody, it's just that they're the team that wanted me and they showed it in late February, and I'm glad to be part of the team."

"Everybody's got their own way of doing things. Some guys are a little bit more serious. You've got to be yourself." The Redskins have invested a lot of time getting to know Griffin.
