The Redskins will have interest in Peyton Manning if he hits either the free agent or trade market, according to a league source.
One of the primary concerns is Manning's health after missing the 2011 season while recovering from his third neck surgery in 19 months.
"No. 1, is he going to be released?" a league official said. "No. 2, is he going to be healthy? No. 3, at the end of the day, is he willing to come back and play in the NFL? We don't know those questions."

Former USC running back Stafon Johnson's lawsuit against the school and a former employee alleging negligence in the weight room has been settled, USC announced Wednesday.
Johnson, a two-year starter for the Trojans now with the NFL's Washington Redskins, sued the school in January 2011 for unspecified damages greater than $25,000 after a September 2009 weightlifting accident nearly cost him his life and forced him to undergo several emergency surgeries.
