Redskins Interested In Owens Or Marshall?

Oct 23, 2014 1:31 AM

The Redskins may be interested in acquiring free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens or trading for Denver's Brandon Marshall. Washington had Antonio Bryant in for a visit, displaying their interest in adding a pass-catcher. "We don't talk about who's on our radar screen for obvious reasons, but we do have a plan. And sometimes we'll wait to see what the market value is relative to the price, how many guys might be out there. But we're going to constantly try to upgrade our football team, and sometimes it has to do with salary as much as has to do with just getting depth. And maybe after our minicamps, maybe after the draft, some guy will be out there, and we'll gobble him because we think he has a chance to improve our football team," offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said.

Haynesworth Doesn't Think He's Built To Play Nose Tackle

Jul 15, 2014 5:24 AM

Redskins defender Albert Haynesworth isn't sure he's capable of playing nose tackle. His offseason workout regimen and leeriness to move to the 3-4 defense have been well-chronicled. "I haven't really had a whole lot of conversations about it to them," Haynesworth said of his new coaches, whom he praised several times. "I don't know, I guess whatever. I don't know what I'm supposed to do or to say. I'm under contract there, so there's nothing I can really say about it....You look at all the nose tackles in the NFL, they're all the same type guys. Like me, I'm 6-6, 330, 340 pounds, whatever. Most of those guys are short, stubbier, pretty much stump-type guys. I don't think I'm built to be a nose tackle, to be honest."

Redskins Culture Has Changed Dramatically Since Shanahan's Arrival

Feb 15, 2014 9:33 PM

Members of the Redskins continued to marvel at the changes in the organization under Coach Mike Shanahan. "It's just totally different than it used to be," quarterback Jason Campbell said. "Yeah, they've changed a lot of stuff around in the weight room, painted and moved some other stuff, but that's not what I'm talking about. It's really the feeling you get now just being [in the building]. "You just see how professional it is and guys are doing things the right way. Usually in the past, guys wouldn't be focused like this right now. A lot of guys who showed up [for the voluntary offseason conditioning program] wouldn't be here in the past. And even in the weight room, a lot of guys just used to do their own thing. But it's all structured now. There's a plan for everything we're doing."
