However, Shanahan wouldn't commit to Campbell as Washington's starter in 2010.

Sources: Top 4 Teams Have Discussed Draft-Related Trades
With less than two months until the NFL Draft, the first four teams in the draft order have discussed possible trades.
Multiple league sources confirmed to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter on Tuesday that the Rams, Lions, Buccaneers and Redskins have all discussed trading their pick.
While there are an abundance of teams looking to trade down in the draft, there is the usual scarcity of teams looking to trade up.
Chris Samuels Mum On Playing Again
Redskins right tackle Chris Samuels still hasn't made a decision regarding his football future.
The Redskins have "nothing to update," general manager Bruce Allen said the other day in a phone interview.
Several people familiar with Samuels' thinking, however, say they still expect him to retire because of the injury he suffered early in the Oct. 11 loss at Carolina.
Jason Campbell: I'm Going To Be Here
Jason Campbell is confident that he'll be back with the Redskins next season.
Campbell, whose contract is set to expire, told ESPN that he had a positive conversation with new coach Mike Shanahan.
"The plan is that I'm going to be here. (Shanahan) told me that he liked how I'd handled everything over the past couple of years and the whole conversation was real positive. But we really didn't talk much about the past. When a team goes 4-12, most of the bad publicity goes to the quarterback. But I was still able to put up one of my best seasons despite all the turmoil," the quarterback said.
Washington went 4-12 last season.
Redskins Appear To Want Bradford Or Claussen
Mike Shanahan is eager to draft and develop a young quarterback, a league source familiar with his thinking said recently.
Former Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford has been linked with the Redskins in most early mock drafts. Former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen also often has been listed as a possible top pick of the Redskins.
Redskins Could Use Pick On O-Line
The Redskins have the fourth overall pick in April's NFL Draft and the Washington Post writes that the offensive line could be a focus.
In order to select defensive lineman Jeremy Jarmon in the last supplemental draft, the Redskins had to surrender their third-round pick this season.
Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels is expected to retire, which could force Washington to bolster their offensive line through the draft.
Portis, Sellers Have Heated Exchange
Redskins running backs Clinton Portis and Mike Sellers reportedly had to be separated during a verbal altercation earlier this week at the team's facility.
According to Jason Reid of the Washington Post, Sellers confronted Portis after hearing that Portis requested that Sellers be replaced during Washington's win over Tampa.
