The Washington Redskins have traded a third-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons for running back T.J. Duckett. The Falcons then turned around and traded a third-rounder choice to Denver for wide receiver Ashley Lelie.
Lelie has been trying to get out of Denver for the past year as his role was given to newcomer Javon Walker.
Duckett was made expendable as the Falcons are very high on draft pick Jerious Norwood. Duckett gives Washington insurance in case Clinton Portis' shoulder injury is serious.

Redskins Trade Jacobs For 49ers Rumph
The Redskins traded receiver Taylor Jacobs to the 49ers for cornerback Mike Rumph on Monday, a swap of oft-injured former high-round draft picks.
Rumph was a first-round selection from the University of Miami in 2002, but he missed most of 2004 with a broken arm and played in only three games in 2005 because of a foot injury.
Portis Dislocates Left Shoulder
Running back Clinton Portis partially dislocated his left shoulder during Washington's opening series of the preseason Sunday night, a significant setback for the Redskins' revamped offense.
An MRI test detected the injury, which involves the bone popping out of place temporarily in the shoulder socket. Standard treatment involves rest and strengthening exercises.
There was no immediate indication how long he will be sidelined.
Redskins' OL Lefotu Found Unconscious, Treated At Hospital
Redskins rookie offensive lineman Kili Lefotu was found unconscious in his room Wednesday evening and was undergoing tests at a hospital.
Coaches became concerned when Lefotu failed to show up for the team's 7 p.m. practice. Representatives were sent to the National Conference Center, where the players are being housed. They found Lefotu unresponsive and called emergency services to take Lefotu to a hospital.
Coach Joe Gibbs said Lefotu appeared to be doing better, but doctors had yet to diagnose what happened. Lefotu was to remain at Loudoun County Hospital overnight for more tests.
Redskins' Patten Has Viral Infection
Washington Redskins WR David Patten missed the first two days of training camp while hospitalized with a viral infection.
Patten arrived for camp feeling sick, and he checked into the hospital Monday, when camp opened.
"He's in probably until Thursday, then it will take him a few more days to recover, so we'll just take it as it comes when he gets out," trainer Bubba Tyer said. "We'll give him plenty of time to get his strength back."
