Bruce Arians: Chris Godwin Could Be 100-Catch Guy

Mar 28, 2019 10:17 AM

Chris Godwin could break out in his third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson are gone, paving the way for Godwin to see more targets next to Mike Evans.

"I think Chris Godwin is going to be close to a 100-catch guy, especially because I think he can play in the slot," Bruce Arians said. "He's never coming off the field."

Godwin had 59 receptions for 842 yards and seven touchdowns in 2018.

Buccaneers Hire Two Female Assistant Coaches

Mar 21, 2019 8:22 AM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Lori Locust and Maral Javadifar as assistant coaches.

The hires make the Buccaneers the first NFL team with two female coaches on staff.

Locust is an assistant defensive line coach, while Javadifar is an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

"I know how hard it can be to get that first opportunity to coach at the highest level of professional football," Bruce Arians said in a statement. "Sometimes, all you need is the right organization to offer up the opportunity. The Glazer family and our general manager, Jason Licht, were extremely supportive of my decision, and I know Maral and Lori will be great additions to my coaching staff."
