Apr 19, 2017 12:00 PM

Eight NFL owners contributed to the inauguration of Donald Trump.

According to the FEC filing, NFL owners’ $7.25 million in contributions represented nearly one of every $15 donated to Trump’s inaugural committee.

Robert Kraft (Patriots), Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Woody Johnson (Jets), Bob McNair (Texans), Shahid Khan (Jaguars), Stan Kroenke (Rams) and Dan Snyder (Washington) each contributed $1 million. Ed Glazer (Buccaneers) contributed $250,000.

Buccaneers Chosen For HBO's Hard Knocks

Apr 18, 2017 1:47 PM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been chosen for HBO's Hard Knocks.

“The fans would get an inside look at how our team really is,” Jason Licht said in comments distributed by the team on Monday. “I know that you guys get a better feel than most, but I think the fans would get a real inside look at how we operate, how the players are. In terms of being a distraction, I think we’re wired to where we would be able to minimize that. Dirk has been through it [with the Falcons in 2014]. Mike Smith has been through it and I’ve heard positive things from them.”

Jameis Winston figures to be heavily featured.

Buccaneers Exercise Fifth-Year Option On Mike Evans

Apr 17, 2017 5:10 PM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have exercised their fifth-year option on Mike Evans.

The next move would be a long-term deal down the road.

"Yeah we picked up his fifth-year option today," Jason Licht said. "Mike, in terms of his future here, I know I can speak for myself and I'm pretty sure I'm speaking for everybody here, well I know I am, but Mike is a Buc for life. Today, we picked up his option. It wasn't a very tough decision. We'll take it from there. I can promise you at some point, I can't tell you when, we'll be contacting his agent to try to make him an offer that will make him a Buc for long term."

In just three seasons Evans has totaled 238 receptions, 3,578 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Seahawks Have Steep Asking Price For Richard Sherman

Apr 12, 2017 8:37 AM

The Seattle Seahawks are open to trading Richard Sherman, but they have placed a steep asking price on the cornerback.

The Seahawks are looking for a first-round pick and potentially a good player on a cheap contract, according to a report.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday that Seattle is looking for something huge.

"We're talking Darrelle Revis Jets-to-Buccaneers type of deal," Garafolo said. "That's what's going to get this thing done."

Just prior to the 2013 NFL Draft, the Jets traded Revis to Tampa Bay in exchange for the No. 13 overall selection and a conditional 2014 fourth-round pick.
