NFL Concerned About Chargers' Financial Viability In Los Angeles

Oct 17, 2018 12:54 PM

The NFL is concerned about the viability of the Los Angeles Chargers in the market of Los Angeles.

The franchise is expected to revise its Inglewood revenue goals from $400 million to around $150 million.

The Los Angeles market appeared to strongly prefer the Rams and Raiders over the Chargers before their respective relocations.

The Chargers left San Diego after they were unable to get a new stadium built.

Oct 9, 2018 10:52 AM

Alex Spanos has passed away at the age of 95.

Spanos bought a majority stake in the-then San Diego Chargers in 1984 and later installed his son, Dean Spanos, as his successor.

“We have no words that can adequately express our sadness with his passing,” the club said in a statement. “We will continue to honor his legacy by dedicating ourselves to making a difference in the community and throughout our country.”

The Spanos family has owned the Chargers since Alex Spanos, a construction magnate from Stockton, bought a controlling interest for $48.3 million from Eugene Klein.
