The Oakland Raiders traded the third overall pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the 12th and 42nd overall selections.
The Buffalo Bills traded the eighth and 71st overall pick to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for the 16th, 46th, 78th and 222nd overall selections.
The 49ers traded the No. 31 and No. 74 pick to the Cowboys for the No. 18 pick.
The Falcons traded the No. 30 pick and a sixth rounder to the Rams to acquire No. 22 and a seventh rounder in 2015.
The Vikings have acquired the No. 29 pick from the Patriots for the No. 52, No. 83, No. 102 and No. 229 selections.
Philip Rivers has begun intensive studying of the San Diego Chargers' new offensive system.
“I’ve always studied and grinded hard and worked at it,” Rivers said. “But I didn’t have to study what the running backs plays and routes were in the past. I knew it … Now, I don’t have it down stone cold. I hate not having it down stone cold.”
Mike McCoy was talking last month at the NFL Owners Meetings and said the Chargers would proceed this offseason however quickly Rivers would allow them.
“Our install will go as fast as the quarterback can handle,” McCoy said then. “Everyone else has got to keep up with the quarterback.
“He wants to learn every little detail of the offense,” McCoy said this past week, shortly after running his first practice as Chargers head coach. “Even out there today, he was asking some great questions about the next step in what we’re doing and it’s like, ‘Hold on now, slow down, it’s just Day One out there. We will get to that, but right now we’re introducing the base to everybody.’ ”
