Chargers Unlikely To Re-Sign Merriman?

Aug 21, 2014 9:00 PM

All signs point to the Chargers not re-signing linebacker Shawne Merriman when his contract expires after the 2009 season, according to San Diego Union-Tribune. Many people believe that he is making a mistake by choosing to play this season, because he could end up jeopardizing his career and perhaps a huge contract if he worsens his knee injury. "My job is football, and that's it," Merriman said recently.
