Le'Veon Bell Suspension Reduced From Three To Two Games

The NFL has reduced the suspension of Le'Veon Bell from three games to two games.

Bell was suspended in April for his August 2014 arrest on DUI and marijuana possession charges. Bell and then-teammate LeGarrette Blount were arrested while driving to the airport for a preseason game.

Last season, Bell was second in the NFL in rushing yards (1,361) and receptions for a running back (83).

Le'Veon Bell Waiting For Appeal Hearing On Suspension

Le'Veon Bellis still waiting to receive a hearing date for his appeal of a three-game suspension.

Bell received 15 months probation in February following an arrest for marijuana possession and DUI in August 2014.

"I want to make sure I do everything in my power to be a better teammate and player," Bell said at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Penn. "Whatever the consequence is, I'll take it. ... You have to take the good with the bad."

Bell was one of the NFL's breakout stars of 2014, finishing second in the league in rushing yards (1,361) and receptions by a running back (83), to go with 11 total touchdowns.

Mike Tomlin, Steelers Agree Upon Two-Year Extension Through 2018

The Pittsburgh Steelers have extended the contract of Mike Tomlin by two seasons.

Tomlin, who has four AFC North titles and five playoff appearances in eight years, is now under contract until at least the 2018 season, the team announced Thursday.

"Mike has proven he is one of the top head coaches in the National Football League, and we are confident he will continue to lead the team in our pursuit of another Super Bowl championship," team president Art Rooney II said.

Tomlin, 43, is the sixth-longest-tenured coach in the league.

Cameron Heyward, Steelers Agree Upon Six-Year, $59.2M Extension

Cameron Heyward and the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed upon a six-year, $59.2 million extension.

Heyward is now the 11th highest paid defensive end in football.

Heyward is a native of Pittsburgh who the Steelers drafted 31st overall in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.
