Donovan McNabb: 'I Am A Hall Of Famer'

May 28, 2019 8:40 AM

Donovan McNabb continues to support his own case for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"Absolutely," McNabb told TMZ Sports. "I'm not hesitating on that. I am a Hall of Famer. My numbers speak for itself. ... My numbers are better than Troy Aikman, but he has Super Bowl rings and he's played with Hall of Famers as well."

In 167 career games, McNabb completed 59 percent of his 5,374 pass attempts for 37,276 yards and 234 touchdowns.

McNabb was asked again if his statistics were good enough to warrant induction and why he thought it hasn't happened.

"When they look at my numbers, yeah," McNabb added, "but then they always want to add other stuff into it. 'Was he an All-Pro? Was he this? How many Super Bowl opportunities?' But people don't realize how hard it is to get to the NFC Championship. And to get there five times, then make it to a Super Bowl? It's tough."

"There aren't many players who can say they won back-to-back Super Bowls and the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year award," the Eagles said. "There's no question that his work ethic combined with his unique talent made him into one of the greatest of this era's professional athletes. We're very thankful Chris chose to play for the Philadelphia Eagles."

Eagles Extend Naming Rights Deal Through 2032

May 10, 2019 8:29 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles have extended their naming rights deal for Lincoln Financial Field through 2032.

The original deal ran through the 2022 season and paid the Eagles $139.6 million for 20 years.

The new deal is worth $170 million, or just over $12 million per season.

"To have a hometown corporate team support your hometown team, there becomes this connection that carries beyond the stadium," team president Don Smolenski said. "It provides us resources for what we do from a business perspective, but it's resources that we put into the building for the fans, resources that we put into the team for the fans, and it's resources that we do together in the community, which is for Philadelphia."
