Carson Wentz practiced with pads on for the first time on Saturday since he tore ligaments in his left knee.

Wentz was on the field for nearly three hours.

Went'z initial recovery time was expected to be nine-to-12 months.

“I feel good,” he said. “I feel good. What my goal has been all along is to be ready Week 1. I can’t say 100 percent that I’ll be out there. But I do feel good where I’m at. At the end of the day, it’s not gonna be my call. It’s gonna be up to the doctors. But rehab’s gone really well. I felt like I’ve been right on schedule and everything. I feel good with where I’m at. At this point I just go practice and do what I can and let the doctors make the calls.”

Foles co-wrote the book with Joshua Cooley.

Foles led the Eagles following the ACL injury to Carson Wentz.

Nick Foles' autobiography, titled "Believe It," will debut at No. 5 on the New York Times Hardcover, Nonfiction list on Sunday, July 15.

Tyndale House said the book will also be on the best seller lists of Publishers Weekly and USA Today.

Written with Joshua Cooley, a minister in North Carolina, the book chronicles Foles' career and the role his faith played in it.

The Philadelphia Eagles will wear their green home jerseys when they visit the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome in November.

Doug Pederson and Sean Payton were paired in the annual coaches' golf outing at the NFL meetings in March. They came up with a few unique bets when they began playing.

The first was the jersey wager to determine which team would wear their traditional home colors during the Week 11 game in New Orleans.

"There's a good chance it involved me being in the water," recalled Payton, who also lost a bet that required him to send a sampling of New Orleans food to the Eagles' coaching staff.

"Hey, if I'd have kept playing, he'd have been in our locker room," Payton joked.
