Maclin Hopes To Remain With Eagles Long-Term

Sep 24, 2014 5:20 AM

Jeremy Maclin is entering the final season of his rookie deal and contract talks have been begun with the Philadelphia Eagles, but haven't advanced far.

"This is a big year for me personally with my contract coming up and everything," Maclin said, via Phillymag.com's Birds 24/7 blog. "So I'm just looking forward to it. ... I think that I can only get better. So I think it'll be good for me to go out there and just play ball and let everything else take care of itself."

Maclin has 258 receptions for 2,453 yards and 26 touchdowns over his first four seasons.

"This is the team and organization that drafted me," Maclin said. "I don't want to leave."

Eagles Hope Super Bowl Bid Will Follow Stadium Renovations

Oct 31, 2014 5:12 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles are hopeful that their $125 million renovation to Lincoln Financial Field will help in their bid to host a Super Bowl.

Jeffrey Lurie first floated the idea in March.

"That wasn't the intention, but certainly when I'm on the Super Bowl committee, when you're bidding on a Super Bowl, the committee looks very closely at your stadium and your city and what you can host," Lurie said. "Philadelphia would be a great place."

The next four Super Bowls will be played in recently improved or brand new stadiums.

Vick Hopes Eagles Declare Starter At Quarterback Before Camp

Oct 31, 2014 12:40 PM

Michael Vick hopes the Philadelphia Eagles don't enter camp with uncertainty at the quarterback position.

Vick's battle for the position with Nick Foles figures to be a daily topic of discussion in the media.

Chip Kelly has said that he won't make a decision on the starting quarterback until camp.

“Hopefully, Chip makes a decision before training camp and we won’t have to answer that question,” Vick said, “so we can go out there as quarterbacks and just focus on this season and not answer questions about competition every day.”

DeSean Jackson has parted ways with agent Drew Rosenhaus and could soon sign with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports.

Jackson signed with Rosenhaus in November 2009 during his second season. Jackson sought a new deal, but there was never a restructuring agreed upon at that point.

Jackson eventually agreed to a five-year, $51 million deal in 2012.
