Eagles, Graham Strike Five-Year Deal
The Eagles reached a five-year deal with rookie defensive end Brandon Graham on Thursday night.
Graham, a first-round pick, may attend Philadelphia's first training camp practice on Friday afternoon.
"It feels good because I really wanted to get to training camp, and coach (Andy) Reid really wanted me to get to camp, and now it's time to show them why they picked me," Graham said in a statement.
"I have a lot of work to do, but I'm ready to go."
McNabb Reaches Out To Kolb On Eve Of Camp
Eagles starting quarterback Kevin Kolb received a text message from the man he's replacing on the eve of the team's training camp.
Kolb got a message from Redskins starter Donovan McNabb, who Philadelphia traded this offseason, wishing him luck on his first training camp as the No. 1 quarterback.
"He told me to take one practice at a time and be patient," Kolb said Tuesday.
"And I said, 'Yeah, I hear you. It's a long season.' That's what I was saying before. You kind of get caught up in the whole realm of the whole season and whatever expectations. Just take it one practice at a time at this time of year and that will help you get a lot better."
McNabb told the Washington Post that the gesture wasn't out of the ordinary.
"I try to inspire young players, to just continue to keep their head up, write goals for yourself that are attainable and for them to just have confidence in themselves," McNabb said. "For me, it could've been easier for me to walk out the door and not said anything to anyone. But that's not the type of person I am. I'm a guy who cares. I've text-messaged Kevin and...several of my former offensive linemen and the list goes. The thing about 11 years is [it's] something you can't just forget."
NFL Won't Discipline Michael Vick
The NFL has informed the Eagles that they will not discipline quarterback Michael Vick in the wake of the shooting at his birthday party in Virginia Beach last month, according to league sources.

Goodell implored Vick to make better decisions and warned him to take more care in how he conducts his personal life.
Eagles Lineman: Locker Room Was Leaning Towards Kolb
Leading up to the decision to trade longtime quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Philadelphia locker room was strongly behind young Kevin Kolb.
"The younger players in the locker room kind of wanted to see Kevin take over and get their own print on the team. As long as Donovan was on the team, it was going to be his thing, not the young kids taking over," guard Todd Herremans said.
"We would've loved to play with Donovan another year. But the majority of the locker room was leaning toward Kevin."
A piece in the Philadelphia Inquirer on Sunday explained the story behind the team's decision to trade McNabb.
Vick May Have Violated Bankruptcy Laws
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick may be in trouble with the law again.
Vick is facing charges that he made unauthorized and illegal gifts to friends and family in the months before he declared bankruptcy, according to a report by ESPN.com.
According to court records, Vick wrote and cashed 67 checks between October 2006 and November 2007 that were made payable to "cash."
It is a violation of bankruptcy laws to give away assets to friends and family on the eve of a bankruptcy.
Eagles' Jackson Unlikely To Get New Deal
