Sep 12, 2014 9:12 PM

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jabar Gaffney was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun. Gaffney had a permit to carry the weapon in Texas, but not in New Jersey, Camden County prosecutors said. Gaffney, 25, was stopped on June 20 by police for driving erratically on the Walt Whitman Bridge, which connects Philadelphia and New Jersey. As Gaffney was reaching into the glove compartment, the officer saw the handgun, a loaded .380 semiautomatic that was registered to another person riding in the car.

Eagles Intersted In Porter?

Nov 26, 2014 4:09 PM

There is no indication thus far that the Raiders have called the Eagles any time in the last few days about Joey Porter. (It has been reported that Porter was shopped before the draft. Whether the Eagles were involved at that point is possible, but unknown. But if they did get a call, the fact that they took a run at Javon Walker from Green Bay and not Porter should tell you something about what they're thinking.) There is no real idea what the Raiders would want in return if they did call.

McNabb Calls Owens' Autobiography A "Children's Book"

Sep 6, 2014 7:06 AM

Speaking to reporters after practice July 21, Donovan` McNabb called Owens' recently released autobiography a "children's book," mocked the star receiver for saying he was misquoted in his own book and disputed some of the written allegations. McNabb and Owens helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl during the 2004 season, but their relationship quickly deteriorated in 2005. Owens eventually was kicked off the team and signed with the Dallas Cowboys in March. In "T.O.," which came out earlier this month, Owens mostly offers his side of his tumultuous second season in Philadelphia. McNabb joked that he should have been a co-author because Owens mentioned the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback at length in the book. "It won't sell unless he's talking about me," McNabb said, adding that he didn't read the book and is waiting to play himself in the movie.

Owens Claims To Tell All In "T.O."

Sep 15, 2014 2:42 PM

The Cowboys' Terrell Owens says plenty in his new book. Except for one word he now claims he didn't say. But making a big deal of an apparent misquotation, despite the sentence being written in the first-person, is the kind of media nitpicking Owens would lament in his 242-page book that mostly offers his side of two tumultuous seasons with the Eagles. In "T.O.", which debuted last week, Owens likens former teammate Donovan McNabb to a bully who spat in his mouth as a teenager while he innocently slept on a school bus.
