Eagles Grab Bunkley At 14, Justice At 39

Jul 10, 2014 12:44 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles improved their defense by drafting Broderick Bunkley out of Flordia State. Bunkley came into the Draft as a potential top-10 selection and now Andy Reid picks up a tremendously talented player in what can be one of the steals of the day. The defensive tackle is a gifted athlete with great strength, benching 225 pounds over 40 times at the combine. They then selected USC's tackle Winston Justice with their 39th pick.

Ravens Work Out Eagles Punter

Oct 17, 2014 6:52 PM

The Baltimore Ravens recently worked out Eagles punter Dirk Johnson, according to the Carroll County (Md.) Times. It would be a surprise if the Ravens tried to sign Johnson, since he is a restricted free agent and the Eagles would have the right to match any offer he got. Johnson, 30, is coming off a second surgery to repair the sports hernia and groin tear that limited him to seven games last season, his third year with the Eagles. Agent Jordan Woy could not be reached for comment last night. Johnson, offered the lowest restricted free-agent lender by the Eagles, will make $722,000 this season if he signs the tender.
