Sapp Warns Teams About Free Agent Huff

Jun 27, 2014 4:59 PM

Warren Sapp is urging teams to think hard before signing soon-to-be free agent safety Michael Huff. Sapp didn't hold back Tuesday when asked on a Dallas radio show if the Cowboys should court Huff, who has ties to the area. "Michael Huff leaves something to be desired," Sapp said on KESN-FM's "Ben and Skin Show." "I watched Huff for two years not pick a pass off in practice. I seen him make a couple plays lately. I'd really be interested to see his tape and watch his last couple of years because his first two make you want to throw up watching him practice.” Huff was the seventh overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and Sapp painted the picture of an entitled young player. "I went so far with Michael Huff, and you can ask him this, that my last day in Oakland, I waited in the parking lot for Michael Huff," said Sapp, who played for the Raiders from 2004 to 2007. "I waited in the parking lot because I wanted to talk to the young man because he made me want to throw up watching him practice. I mean, the scout team would complete ball, after ball, after ball. I'm like, 'You're not going to make one play? I mean, you're not even going to put your hand on it and knock it down?' "

Jul 21, 2014 5:38 PM

Speaking out for the first time since his career at Ohio State ended in scandal, Terrelle Pryor appeared with agent Drew Rosenhaus and gave a statement in which he apologized to the Buckeyes, to his former teammates and to now-departed coach Jim Tressel for his role in the mess that might take down one of America's proudest programs. "I say sorry to all the Buckeye nation and all the Buckeye fans across the country," Pryor said. "I never meant to hurt anybody directly or indirectly with my conduct off the field and I am truly sorry." Pryor confirmed during his brief statement that he will enter the NFL's supplemental draft, which is expected to take place sometime in July.

Is Pryor A Fit For Raiders?

Jul 21, 2014 5:30 PM

Jerry McDonald of The Oakland Tribune believes that former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor may be a good fit for the Raiders. "If you are Al Davis and have a chance to put a once-in-a-generation athlete on the Raiders for the cost of a third-round pick or later, you do it," McDonald writes. Pryor can apply for the NFL supplemental draft or begin his career in Canada or the UFL. An NFL spokesman said a supplemental draft can be held, lockout or no lockout.

Asomugha Not High On Philly's List

Nov 14, 2014 11:05 AM

The Eagles are believed to have extreme interest in cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. However, Clark Judge of CBS Sports writes that Philadelphia may not be too high on Asomugha. "There's no question that Asomugha will be a hot property. He's one of the game's elite defenders, so proficient that once he hits the free-agent market a bidding frenzy should erupt," Judge writes. "But don't expect the Eagles to join the charge. I don't. And neither do others who are close to the organization."
