Jets Release Terrrelle Pryor

Oct 20, 2018 2:57 PM

The New York Jets will release Terrelle Pryor.

Pryor has a tear in his groin and is expected to miss about two weeks.

The Jets are interested in bringing Pryor back when he's healthy, but other teams are likely to be interested.

Pryor signed a one-year, $4.5 million deal, which included a $1 million signing bonus, with the Jets in March.

Von Miller: Sam Darnold Was No. 1 Pick 'For Sure'

Oct 4, 2018 8:46 AM

If Von Miller had owned the first overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, he would have taken Sam Darnold.

The Denver Broncos will face the New York Jets in Week 5.

"I don't know nothing about drafting a quarterback or anything like that, but I thought he was the No. 1 pick, for sure," Miller said on a conference call.

Darnold has been the NFL's lowest-rated passer (63.8) over the past three weeks -- all losses for the Jets (1-3).

"I thought he was the best offensive player in the draft," Miller said. "He's a great quarterback. He's been playing well. They haven't been coming up with the wins, but he's playing really well."

Darnold was drafted third overall behind Baker Mayfield (Browns) and Saquon Barkley (Giants).

Isaiah Crowell Gets Endorsement Deal With Dude Wipes

Oct 3, 2018 8:41 AM

Isaiah Crowell has a new endorsement deal with Dude Wipes after drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for a butt-wiping touchdown celebration last week.

After scoring a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, Crowell pretended to defecate in the end zone, then wiped his rear end with the football before throwing it into the crowd.

Todd Bowles wasn't pleased with what the New York Jets running back did, telling reporters it was "inexcusable" and would never happen again.

Crowell said he felt bad his celebration hurt the team, but he added, "I was just having fun. You gotta have fun. If you're not having fun with what you do, you might as well stop doing it. That's how I feel about it."
