Josh McCown Wants To Continue Career, Remain With Jets

Jan 24, 2018 8:19 AM

After being noncommittal about his future near the end of the season, Josh McCown says that he wants to continue playing football and would like to return to the New York Jets.

"Right now, that's how it's looking," McCown said on the NFL Network. "At this time of the year, I go through those conversations with my family, talk with them through that, pray through that.

"But where we're at right now, I feel like I want to play. ... I'm looking forward to the next few months, seeing what happens, and I'll be ready to go."

McCown, who turns 39 on July 4, is a pending free agent after playing on a one-year contract that earned him $7.625 million, including playing-time bonuses.

Jets Lower Season-Ticket Prices, Remove Some PSLs

Jan 17, 2018 8:22 AM

The New York Jets are lowering season-ticket prices by a weighted average of 11 percent compared with last season.

The cheapest tickets in the upper deck will be $45 a game, while tickets in the mezzanine will cost $95 per game. The mezzanine tickets were previously available only with a $2,500 to $4,000 personal seat license.

"Every year, when we are doing our pricing, we look across the league, at industry trends, at New York entertainment and the secondary market," Jets president Neil Glat said. "We made the adjustment because we want to continue to add value."

The Jets have had two straight 5-11 seasons, finishing their seventh consecutive season without a trip to the postseason.

Jets Open To Trading Up For Quarterback

Jan 3, 2018 3:42 PM

The New York Jets are open to trading up for a quarterback in the draft. The Jets currently own the sixth overall pick.

"The simple answer to that question is yes," Mike Maccagnan said when asked about trading up. "If that was a player we felt strong about, we would have no qualms of potentially trying to go up and get him."

Maccagnan made inquiries in 2016 about trading up for either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz.

Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen are expected to be the top available quarterbacks.
