Santonio Holmes To Soon Be Released By Jets

Sep 3, 2014 9:43 PM

The New York Jets are expected to soon release Santonio Holmes.

Holmes is due to earn a base salary of $8.25 million in 2014 and has said that he'd consider taking a pay cut.

Holmes was limited to four games in 2012 due to a foot injury that also was an issue in 2013.

The Jets gave Holmes a contract in 2011 that contained $24 million in guaranteed money.

Jets Could Sign Michael Vick

Sep 22, 2014 3:09 PM

The New York Jets have emerged as a team legitimately interested in signing Michael Vick.

The Jets could give Vick a chance to compete for the job as starting quarterback with Geno Smith entering his second NFL season.

The Jets are motivated to sign a competent backup at quarterback in case Smith struggles.

Jets Expected To Pursue Jeremy Maclin, Emmanuel Sanders

Oct 16, 2014 10:18 PM

The New York Jets are interested in making a high profile free agent signing at wide receiver this offseason.

Jeremy Maclin and Emmanuel Sanders will receive interest from the Jets.

The Jets ranked 31st in passing offense last season.

Eric Decker, another free agent, isn't likely to draw serious interest from the Jets. The Jets' front office isn't convinced Decker has the ability to be a true No. 1 receiver.
