49ers Not Presently Interested In Pursuing Revis

Oct 21, 2014 3:42 AM

The San Francisco 49ers are not interested in pursuing a trade for Darrelle Revis at this time, according to source.

The New York Jets are contemplating a trade of Revis this offseason.

Revis will require a new deal by next offseason.

The 49ers' trade of Alex Smith to the Chiefs this week put them in prime position to make a major secondary trade.

Revis Unhappy With Lack Of Communication From Jets

Jul 5, 2014 11:59 PM

Darrelle Revis has yet to hear anything from the New York Jets that makes him confident he will remain with the franchise in 2013.

"No," Revis said. "I don't know if they're doing that because they think that I'm not going to get back to 100 percent? I'm a Jet until they tell me I'm not a Jet."

Revis is rehabbing from an ACL injury.

Revis reiterated that he wants to remain with the Jets.

"If I do get traded I'm not going to sit here and pout and cry," Revis said, "but I've told them numerous times that I want to be here so it's up to them and management what they want to do."

Tebow To Speak At Controversial Dallas Church

Nov 2, 2014 1:08 AM

Tim Tebow has agreed to speak before the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas on April 28.

Rev. Robert Jeffress, the church's pastor, declared in an interview that Islam and Mormonism were religions that are "heresy from the pit of hell," took a hard line against Judaism, and claims that America is being "brainwashed" into accepting a homosexual agenda.

Jeffress also criticized the Catholic church as "the genius of Satan."

Tebow's status for the 2013 season remains uncertain and his acquisition by any team will have as much to do with the public perception as it does his abilities as an NFL player.

Jets Won't Rush To Release Tebow

Oct 31, 2014 4:25 PM

The New York Jets do not intend to release Tim Tebow before the NFL's new year begins in March, sources said.

The Jets hope to be able to trade Tebow, but the market is expected to be soft since some in the NFL expect him to need to change his position in order to regain relevancy.

"I can't imagine a scenario in which he'll be a Jacksonville Jaguar -- even if he's released," new Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said.
