Giants Engaged In Talks To Deal Ereck Flowers

Apr 25, 2018 8:10 AM

The New York Giants have had trade discussions involving offensive tackle Ereck Flowers, according to sources.

If he's dealt, it would be for draft picks.

New York signed Nate Solder in free agency to handle left tackle, moving Flowers to the right side. He was the ninth overall pick in 2015 and has struggled over 46 starts.

Bills Unlikely To Trade With Giants For No. 2 Pick

Apr 24, 2018 9:09 AM

The Buffalo Bills have a stockpile of draft picks and moving up to the top of the draft to take a quarterback has been floated as a possibility for quite some time.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane has a history with New York Giants contemporary Dave Gettleman, but that doesn't mean a deal for the second overall pick is likely.

"From what I understand, it's not going to be one of those things where they just sell out and (trade) all the way to No. 2 with the Giants," Ian Rapoport reported on the NFL Network. "I would be at this moment surprised if that happens."

The Bills are more likely to swing a deal if a quarterback they like slips to fifth or sixth.

Giants Release Brandon Marshall

Apr 19, 2018 6:38 PM

Brandon Marshall has been released by the New York Giants after failing a physical.

Marshall signed a two-year, $11 million deal last offseason.

Marshall was struggling before suffering a left ankle injury in Week 5 that required season-ending surgery.

Marshall had a cap hit of $6.2 million for the 2018 season, which would have been the seventh highest on the team. The Giants will save $5.156 million by releasing him. According to NFL Players Association records, the team was $4.9 million under the cap as of Thursday morning.

Marshall has been working in broadcasting over the past few years.

Dez Bryant: Playing For Giants Would Be 'Crazy'

Apr 17, 2018 11:10 AM

Dez Bryant has said he'd like to play the Dallas Cowboys twice this year following his release, indicating that he'll remain in the NFC East.

Bryant appears most interested in the New York Giants.

"The Giants," Bryant told Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan, "got a helluva defense, they're going to pay [Odell Beckham Jr.], so coming back. Playing with him, Sterling [Shepard] . . . the tight end [Evan Engram], [Eli] Manning? Crazy."

The Giants have only about $5 million in cap space remaining.

Teams No Longer Expect Giants To Listen To Odell Beckham Trade Offers

Apr 11, 2018 3:53 PM

The New York Giants are believed to no longer ben entertaining trade offers for Odell Beckham Jr.

Many rival teams thought there was a legitimate chance of the Giants trading Beckham.

Several teams inquired about his services and the Giants were asking for at least two first-round picks in return for Beckham, even though the team insisted it was not shopping him.

Beckham was in attendance as the Giants began voluntary offseason workouts. Beckham and the Giants are expected to discuss a contract extension.

Report: Giants Would Take Sam Darnold At No. 2, But Not Josh Rosen

Apr 10, 2018 8:49 AM

If Sam Darnold is available at No. 2, the New York Giants will draft him later this month.

The Giants, however, would not take Josh Rosen in the same position, according to a report.

"If Darnold is available, they're taking Darnold," an unnamed NFL talent evaluator said. "They don't like Rosen."

If the Cleveland Browns take Darnold, the Giants would take Saquon Barkley.
