Jerry Reese Declines Request To Interview For Raiders' GM Job

Dec 23, 2018 11:05 AM

Jerry Reese turned down a request from the Oakland Raiders to interview for their general manager vacancy.

Reese was fired by the New York Giants one year ago.

The concern of potential GM candidates around the league is that the job will not carry the type of autonomy that many GM jobs do because of the presence of Jon Gruden.

The Raiders are seeking to replace GM Reggie McKenzie, who was fired earlier this month.

Odell Beckham Jr. Ruled Out For Week 15 With Quad Injury

Dec 14, 2018 1:29 PM

Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Beckham is dealing with a quadriceps injury.

Beckham didn't practice Thursday and went off-site for further evaluation, saying the tests were a double-check to make sure there had been progress more than anything else.

Beckham sustained the injury on the final play of a Nov. 25 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pat Shurmur Reminds Odell Beckham Not To Talk About Injuries

Dec 13, 2018 8:49 AM

Odell Beckham didn't practice with the New York Giants on Wednesday, a few days after missing a game with a sore quadriceps.

Pat Shurmur is hoping the receiver doesn't offer up any injury updates on his own this week.

"I think he's getting better each day, but we'll know more as the week goes on," Shurmur said. "And I encourage our players not to talk about their injuries. So hopefully that's about all you'll get out of it."

Beckham posted on social media about the injury last Friday, the first time the injury was revealed. The Giants later listed him on the injury report.

Odell Beckham Jr. Out For Week 14 With Quad Injury

Dec 8, 2018 3:54 PM

Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out of Week 14 for the New York Giants due to a bruised quad.

Beckham was downgraded on Saturday, and he did not travel with the team.

Pat Shurmur said he believed Beckham would play.

"We just gave him a little time," Shurmur said after Friday's practice. "He's going to be fine."

Beckham disclosed the injury during the most recent episode of his Facebook docuseries "I Am More: OBJ" and said it originally occurred on the final play when he was leg-whipped against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 25.
