Odell Beckham Jr. Hates Losing, Has Learned From Packers' Game

Jan 26, 2017 4:42 PM

Odell Beckham Jr. is trying to move on from the New York Giants' loss in the Wildcard round to the Green Bay Packers.

"I hate losing," Beckham said. "Whether it's marbles, spades, blackjack, whatever it is."

Beckham was visibly upset after the game.

"You learn from it, you grow, you move on," Beckham told ESPN. "That's life. Life stuff happens. You get knocked down and you get back up. That's just always been my mentality. I'm not really fazed by anything. It's in the past. There's nothing I can really do about it now. You learn from it and you move on."

Beckham punched a hole in a wall outside the visiting locker room at Lambeau Field.

Peterson Interested In Giants, Texans, Bucs If He Leaves Vikings

Jan 20, 2017 8:14 AM

Adrian Peterson would like to remain with the Minnesota Vikings but he openly talked about other teams he would consider in free agency, such as the New York Giants, Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers .

"I see myself in purple. A lot has to take place," Peterson said on First Take on Thursday. "I see myself finishing off in purple. It is a business at the end of the day, so with that, things could end up differently. ... Hopefully we can work things out."

"There's a couple teams out there that I've thought about. ... New York was one of them that popped up, Tampa Bay, lot of different teams. Houston would be a good spot," Peterson said. "I'll stop right there. ... I'm just throwing random names out there."

The Vikings have a team option on Peterson for 2017 that includes an $11.75 million base salary and $6 million roster bonus. They have to decide on Peterson's 2017 option by the start of the league year and would owe him the $6 million roster bonus if he was on the team by the third day of the league year.

Jerry Reese: It's Time For Odell Beckham To Grow Up

Jan 10, 2017 2:32 PM

Jerry Reese had a conversation with Odell Beckham, Jr. on Monday before the New York Giants dismissed players for the offseason.

"I see a guy who needs to think about some of the things he does," the general manager said of Beckham. "He needs to look in the mirror and be honest with himself. We'll help him with that, but he has to help himself."

Beckham didn't have a productive game in New York's playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers and reportedly punched a hole in a wall near the postgame interview room after the game.

"[Beckham] is a smart guy, but sometimes he doesn't do smart things," Reese said. "We all had to grow up at different times in our lives. I think it's time for him to do it now. He's been here three years now."

No Teams Finish 2016 In Top-10 In Both Offensive, Defensive DVOA

Jan 3, 2017 2:01 PM

The NFL has very few teams this season that excel in all facets of the game. Further evidence of this issue shows itself in the fact that there is only one team ranking in the top-10 in both Football Outsiders' Offensive and Defensive DVOA.

Last season, the Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs ranked in the top-10 on both sides of the ball.

The Chiefs were the closest team to finish in the top-10 in both Offensive and Defensive DVOA at 13th and 14th.

The New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys finished the season ranked first and second in both Total DVOA and Weighted DVOA.
