David Wilson On Field For Just 24 Snaps

Nov 10, 2014 5:23 PM

David Wilson played just 24 snaps in the New York Giants' Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Wilson fumbled twice in Week 1.

Wilson lost playing time to Brandon Jacobs and Da'Rel Scott.

"I don't count the carries," Wilson said after the game. "I just got out there, and when I'm asked to make a play, execute."

The Giants don't trust Wilson in pass protection and his fumbles have been an issue throughout his career.

The Giants benched David Wilson in Week 1 after two fumbles, while Andre Brown is recovering from a broken leg.

Pierre-Paul Struggled With Conditioning In Week 1

Oct 31, 2014 12:36 PM

Jason Pierre-Paul played sparingly in the New York Giants' Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, coming onto the field on passing downs and picked up a sack.

"It felt like a preseason game. It was rough out there for me," Pierre-Paul said. "I didn't play to my expectations. Coming to Dallas, I play very well. But tonight was a struggle for me."

Pierre-Paul will be needed when the Giants play Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Week 2.

"I wasn't tired, my back didn't hurt at all, I've just got to get into that football shape," Pierre-Paul said. "The next game is more serious than this one. We've got Peyton Manning coming through. I expect to keep getting better every day."

Giants To Audition Brandon Jacobs, Willis McGahee

May 18, 2014 1:46 AM

The New York Giants will audition both Brandon Jacobs and Willis McGahee this week after David Wilson fumbled twice in their Sunday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson also struggled in pass protection, but Tom Coughlin said that he will have a chance to reclaim the starting running back job.'

"Give us a little time to work on this thing," Coughlin said Sunday. "[Wilson] is still very much in our thoughts. He's got to play -- he's a very talented young man.

"But you just can't do that. Every time they touch you, you're going to turn the ball over?"

The Giants had planned on meeting with McGahee since last Friday following the injury to Andre Brown.
