Eli: I'm Not Going To Cabo This Week

Nov 27, 2014 7:39 AM

Eli Manning was asked if he planned to go to San Diego to watch his brother Peyton play for the Indianapolis Colts against the Chargers in the first round. ?No, no, no plans,? Manning said. As an afterthought, Manning added: ?My plans to Cabo fell through, so I am going to sit here. That is a joke, by the way.? He was referring to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Romo vacationed last year when the Cowboys had a first-round bye. Romo made the trip with his girlfriend Jessica Simpson, her family and some of his teammates. After Romo returned, the Cowboys were eliminated by the Giants, who went on to win the Super Bowl.

Jacobs' Injury Similar To Tiki's

Oct 23, 2014 3:14 PM

Giants' running back Brandon Jacobs is suffering from a similar injury to the one Tiki Barber played through during his rookie season in 1997. He injured his PCL on Oct. 5 against the Seahawks, played through the problem, aggravated it Nov. 16 against the Ravens, and sat out the following week in Arizona. He then started against the Redskins, before being forced out of the team's loss to the Eagles and missing the team's most recent game. "I think it tore all the way through his PCL like mine did so it doesn't hurt but you have to get used to it," said Barber. "You can't push off the same way you used to, but he'll get used to it. It will slow him down a little bit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing."
