Giants' Tiki Barber Thinking About Life After Football

Consecutive record-setting seasons hasn't stopped Giants running back Tiki Barber from thinking about life after football, possibly even after this season. The 31-year-old Barber said after his first practice at camp on Friday that he would consider retiring after this season if the right opportunity came along. The NFL's second-leading rusher last season with 1,860 yards, Barber could not describe the perfect job opportunity but he admitted that he got a few offers that interested him this past summer.

Giants Sign Second Rounder Moss

Second-round draft choice Sinorice Moss, the former University of Miami sprinter reached agreement on a four-year contract with the New York Giants. Moss is the younger brother of standout Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss. He is just the second of the Giants' seven selections in the 2006 to reach a contract accord. New York is believed to be close to agreements, however, with several of its other rookies. The four-year contract is worth $3.51 million and includes $1.91 million in guarantees. The Giants also included $100,000 in incentives, which isn't often done on a second-round contract.

Former George Mason basketball forward Jai Lewis, who had signed a free agent contract with the Giants earlier this spring, has decided to end his pursuit of an NFL career. Agent Jeff Jankovich told The Washington Post that his client had decided not to report to Giants' training camp later this month, and a family member confirmed that decision.
