Jul 29, 2019 12:05 PM

The New Orleans Saints have released Cameron Meredith.

Meredith has been trying to return from a major knee injury in 2017.

The Saints won't save much cash or salary-cap space by releasing Meredith, who had already agreed to a pay cut of $2.1 million to stay with the team in March. He was due to receive $1.3 million in base salary, with $500,000 fully guaranteed.

Saints Rookie Sentenced To Six Months In Jail

Jul 12, 2019 8:40 AM

New Orleans Saints rookie defensive end Carl Granderson was sentenced to six months in jail Thursday after a judge rejected the terms of his plea agreement on sexual assault charges.

Granderson was accused of inappropriately touching two women while they slept at his apartment in 2018.

He went undrafted out of the University of Wyoming while facing charges of third-degree sexual assault and sexual battery.

Granderson was also sentenced to one year in jail on the sexual battery charge, but that will be suspended with one year of supervised probation once he has completed his six months in jail.
