Jared Cook Won't Back Out Of Deal With Saints After Gronk's Retirement

Mar 25, 2019 9:43 AM

Jared Cook committed to sign with the New Orleans Saints last week, but won't reconsider his decision following the retirement of Rob Gronkowski.

The New England Patriots had a sense last week that Gronkowski was likely to retire, but now the free agent tight end market is incredibly thin.

Martellus Bennett also considered coming out of retirement to rejoin the Patriots after they acquired his brother Michael Bennett, but he said he will remain out of the game.

Saints Sign Nick Easton To Boost Offensive Line

Mar 18, 2019 8:25 AM

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a four-year, $24 million deal with guard/center Nick Easton, according to a source.

The addition came shortly after news broke that Pro Bowl center Max Unger is retiring.

The Saints plan to play Easton at center. He missed all of last season because of surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck. But he started a total of 17 games at both guard and center for the Minnesota Vikings in 2016 and 2017.
