Drew Brees Launching Co-ed Youth Flag Football League

Jun 28, 2017 9:14 AM

Drew Brees is launching a co-ed youth flag football league that he hopes will grow into a safer alternative to tackle football across the country.

"I think that this has the opportunity to really save the game of football, honestly," Brees said.

The Football 'N' America league will kick off this fall in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Covington, Louisiana before expanding into other states next year and possibly nationwide someday.

"I think we're filling a void that is much-needed," Brees said. "We felt like, you know what, we have the opportunity here to really create what will be the premier youth co-ed flag football league in America."

Fairley was initially diagnosed with a heart condition at the combine but he went on to play seven years in the NFL.

Fairley visited a cardiologist last month and since then has been away from OTAs and out of communication with many of his teammates.

Cam Jordan: Saints Are Ready To Win Super Bowl

Jun 26, 2017 7:16 AM

Cam Jordan believes the New Orleans Saints are now ready to win the Super Bowl.

Drew Brees raised eyebrows in March when he made a similar proclamation.

"We're building a team to win a Super Bowl," Jordan says. "We're not building for the future. It's hard not to believe in our team. We're ready to win it now."

The Saints have put together three consecutive 7-9 seasons despite a terrible defense.

Adrian Peterson Wants To Play Until 37, 38

Jun 8, 2017 8:15 AM

Adrian Peterson feels rejuvenated with the New Orleans Saints and says he wants to play another six or seven years in the NFL.

"Thirty-seven, 38 would be good," Peterson said.

The running back, 32, is driven to prove critics wrong. Players at his position typically suffer a steep decline after age 30.

"Yeah, that's always been my mindset, to defeat the odds, to be that person to show the youngsters and the aspiring kids that want to play football and just athletes around the world in every sport, that it doesn't matter what the people say around you," Peterson said. "As long as you believe and you put in the work, and God blesses you with good health, you could accomplish anything you put your mind to. So that's the kind of example that I want to leave."
