Jun 21, 2019 10:19 AM

Tom Brady threw to Josh Gordon during a workout on Tuesday.

Gordon played 11 games for the New England Patriots last season. He was suspended indefinitely by the NFL on Dec. 20 for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the league's substance abuse policy.

The Patriots tendered him as a restricted free agent this offseason, but it remains to be seen if he'll return to play again.

Bill Belichick Not Believed To Be Anywhere Near Retirement

Jun 17, 2019 4:41 PM

Josh McDaniels and Nick Caserio first became friends in college and are obvious candidates to eventually succeed Bill Belichick running the New England Patriots. McDaniels would be head coach and Caserio would run the front office.

Caserio has been trying to leave the Patriots to join the Houston Texans.

However, nobody Ben Volin of the Boston Globe has spoken to believes Belichick is anywhere close to retiring.

Nick Caserio Wants To Leave Patriots For Texans

Jun 17, 2019 4:38 PM

Nick Caserio would like to leave the New England Patriots and join the Houston Texans as general manager. The position with Houston would be a lateral move for Caserio.

The Texans backed off their pursuit of Caserio after the Patriots filed tampering charges.

Caserio has one season remaining on his contract with the Patriots.

This marks the second straight year that the Patriots have had to block Caserio from interviewing with the Texans. They also blocked college scouting director Monti Ossenfort from interviewing for the same job last season.

Patriots File Tampering Charge Against Texans Over GM Approach

Jun 12, 2019 8:10 PM

The New England Patriots have filed tampering charges against the Houston Texans for their attempted hire of Nick Caserio as general manager.

Houston fired general manager Brian Gaine the night after the Patriots received their Super Bowl rings at the house of Robert Kraft.

Former Patriots team chaplain and current Texans executive vice president of team development Jack Easterby attended that party, as did Caserio, New England's director of player personnel since 2008. The Texans have requested permission to interview Caserio for their GM job but have not been granted permission to date.

Tom Brady Tried To Trademark 'Tom Terrific' To Discourage Use

Jun 7, 2019 8:24 AM

Tom Brady regrets applying to trademark the term "Tom Terrific," explaining that his intention was to ensure people didn't refer to him by that nickname.

The request drew criticism from New York Mets' fans. Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver had long been referred to as "Tom Terrific."

"It's unfortunate. I was actually trying to do something because I didn't like the nickname and I wanted to make sure no one used it, because some people wanted to use it," Brady said.

"I was trying to keep people from using it, and then it got spun around to something different than what it is. Good lesson learned, and I'll try to do things a little different in the future."

Asked a follow-up question, Brady said, "I didn't want people associating me with that. ... I don't like the nickname. I don't like when people give me many nice compliments -- certainly that. It wasn't something I was trying to do out of any disrespect or ill manner or anything like that."
