Brady Expects To Play 'If Coach Lets Me'
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady expects to play this week if coach Bill Belichick allows him to.
Brady took a big hit from Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth on Friday night and reportedly left with a sore shoulder.
"I have bumps and bruises," Brady said on WEEI in Boston. "It's a physical game. Like I said, I fell a little bit awkwardly, but I'm expecting to be out there and I'm expecting to play this week, if Coach let's me. We'll just see how the week goes."
New England will face the Giants on Thursday in their preseason finale.

Source: Pats Could Target Feeley
After cutting ties with Kevin O'Connell, sources claim that the Patriots could target A.J. Feeley.
Feeley may become expendable in Philadelphia after the addition of Michael Vick, but sources also claim that the Eagles won't part ways with Feeley until they know how long Vick will be suspended.
The Eagles also have Kevin Kolb, but Feeley is Philadelphia's only experienced quarterback behind starter Donovan McNabb.
Reports: Tedy Bruschi To Retire
Tedy Bruschi is retiring after a 13-year NFL career marked by an inspiring return to the Patriots as a starting linebacker eight months after a stroke, according to an ESPN.com report.
A person familiar with his decision told The Associated Press that Bruschi will announce his retirement at a news conference at 10:45 a.m. ET on Monday morning at Gillette Stadium. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no announcement had been made.
The decision was first reported by Al Michaels during NBC's Sunday night Bears-Broncos telecast.
Source: Patriots Cut Kevin O'Connell
The Patriots have released quarterback Kevin O'Connell in a surprise move, a source told ESPN's John Clayton.
O'Connell, a third-round pick in 2008, was the leading candidate to backup Tom Brady after New England dealt Matt Cassel to Kansas City.
The move is also surprising in the wake of reports that Brady may have injured his shoulder in the team's preseason game against the Redskins on Friday night.
Andrew Walter and rookie Brian Hoyer are the only quarterback's remaining on New England's roster.
Pats: Brady Didn't Leave With Injury
The Patriots claim that Tom Brady didn't leave Friday's preseason game because of a shoulder injury.
Bill Belichick told the media that Brady left the game after taking a crushing hit from Albert Haynesworth because it was time for the reserves to enter the game.
"I'm saying that we made the decision to play other quarterbacks in the Washington game because we wanted them to play," Belichick said in a conference call with reporters.
"Tom had a desire to play, but we made a football decision to play other players because we needed to see them at that position and make an evaluation there. That's what I'm saying."
Haynesworth On Brady Hit: It Wasn't Like I Was Hitting Gisele
Albert Haynesworth laid a solid hit on Tom Brady during Friday's preseason game at FedEx Field.
"I mean, it wasn't like I was hitting Gisele or something; he's the quarterback. It was good, it was fine," Haynesworth said. "I mean, I was trying to tackle him, but I wasn't trying to hurt him. I'm not that type of a player, you know? I'm actually a big Tom Brady fan. I'm a big Patriots fan. I've always like the Patriots, I've always liked Coach Belichick. I just like the way [Brady] is."
Pats Give Chung Chance To Field Punts
The Patriots allowed rookie Patrick Chung to field punts for their entire game on Friday.
Chung, a rookie safety, fumbled his first opportunity and didn't look entirely comfortable, but Bill Belichick stuck with him.
"We were going to let him return the whole game," Belichick told the Boston Herald. "He mishandled the first one, but he does a good job of handling the ball in practice."
Chung returned his final punt 33 yards to Washington's 23-yard line to setup New England's game-winning drive.
"Just running to daylight," Chung said. "If you're going to get good blocking like that, you have to take advantage of it. I'm not doing anything unless 10 guys in front of me are blocking their hats off."
Brady Leaves With Sore Shoulder
Tom Brady left New England's preseason game against Washington on Friday night with a sore shoulder.
