Brady Still Slowed By Ankle Injury

Oct 8, 2014 4:21 AM

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says that he is still being slowed by last season's late ankle injury, according to The Associated Press. The New England star still cannot jump because of the injury. Brady said Saturday that his offseason training program has been limited by the fact that he still cannot lift a lot of weight. "In life, you don't reflect too much on what happened in the past. You try to learn from it and build on it," Brady said. "We can only control what we did today, which in this case was a really good practice."

Super Bowl Hero Tyree Not Guaranteed Spot

Jul 19, 2014 10:45 AM

Super Bowl hero David Tyree is not guaranteed a roster spot with the New York Giants this season, according to The Associated Press. The wide receiver made the infamous circus catch in the fourth quarter with Rodney Harrison shadowing him to help the Giants upset the Patriots in title game. He has a book coming out, "More Than Just a Catch," that will chronicle his off-field personal struggles, but it's possible that he won't even make the team. He had offseason knee surgery, which forced him to miss the team's first workouts. "This is the first time in my career I've ever had any kind of injury, so I don't know how to handle it," Tyree said Tuesday. "It's unfortunate that it kept me out. I should be back out there in about two or three weeks." "I look at it for what it is," he added. "I don't make the decisions whether I'm on the roster or not. My job is just to go out there and do the best I can when I have the opportunity."
