Sullivan, 25, was stopped by a police officer early Sunday after he ran two stop signs, a police report said.

Patriots Remain Hopeful Of Signing Law
The Pats remain ?hopeful? of coming to terms with cornerback Ty Law on a new contract. However, word from the Law side is that the Pats? initial offerings were lacking financially.
Law Supports Agent Who Could Be Suspended
Ty Law is supporting his agent, Carl Poston, who is due to have an appeal heard on his behalf July 24-25 outside of Washington, D.C., by an arbiter hired by the NFL Players Association, the very organization that has charged Poston with missteps that resulted in LaVar Arrington, then of the Redskins, having a $6.5 million signing bonus left out of his contract.
``I'm definitely disappointed in the Players Association," Law said. ``They're supposed to support the players. It's unfortunate for all of us who have had the best representation over the years to have the NFLPA treat Carl in this fashion when he didn't do anything wrong. LaVar and I and Charles Woodson support Carl all the way. We're going to stick by him."
Kraft Not Worried About Branch Holdout
Patriots' owner Robert Kraft isn't concerned with the holdout of Deion Branch.
``I think the world of Deion," said Kraft. ``I'm hoping everything works out, but I'm going to leave that to coach [Bill ] Belichick and [vice president of player personnel] Scott Pioli. They've done a pretty good job of handling that. These are things that somehow have a way of working themselves out."
Branch Holdout Officially Begins
Deion Branch made his holdout official on Tuesday by skipping the first day of minicamp with what head coach Bill Belichick termed ?an unexcused absence.?
Branch hopes to renegotiate a contract that?s due to pay him just more than $1 million this year.
?Everybody has been in those situations,? quarterback Tom Brady said. ?Everyone who?s been here has had contract negotiations. It?s just part of the business. We all wish he was here. I know he wishes he was here, but you know, (stuff) happens.?
Branch Braces For Holdout
Deion Branch is preparing for a possible holdout, as he wants to negotiate an extension before playing for just over $1 million in the fifth season of his rookie contract.
?I?m not in Deion?s shoes,? said Patriots defensive end Richard Seymour, himself a holdout last year. ?Deion?s a heck of a player. I can?t speak on his situation. We like Deion. He?s a Pro Bowl-caliber player and a Super Bowl MVP. He?s been making big plays ever since he?s been here. Of course we?d love to have him on this football team.?
Brady Wishes Roethlisberger Well
One Super Bowl winning quarterback reached out to an injured one on Monday afternoon.
?Obviously, football is a distant second in his mind right now,? Tom Brady said of Ben Roethlisberger. ?Hopefully he?s OK, and I?m sure everybody out here feels the same.?
Patriots-Saints Do Mini-Camp Swap
Times are a changing in New Orleans under new head coach Sean Payton and today, it proved to be the end of the road for defensive takcle Johnathan Sullivan. The disappointing Sullivan was shipped off to the New England Patriots for wide receiver Bethal Johnson, ending a three year experiment for the first rounder out of Georgia.
Law Discussions With New England Progress
One well-placed source told the Boston Herald last week that negotiations between the Pats and Ty Law?s camp have gone beyond phone conversations between Bill Belichick and Law to ?discussions on all levels.?
More specifically, according to the source, Patriots personnel director and lead negotiator Scott Pioli has exchanged numbers and concepts with Law?s agent, Carl Poston.
